The OL’ Days Open for Slum Village @ Reggie’s Chicago – (FULL SHOW)

June 19, 2013

Last Friday was one of the biggest days of the year for my group The Ol’Days. Ki of NC and I took to the stage at Reggie’s Rock Club and absolutely had a ball opening for our heroes Slum Village. We may have not met our ticket quota but the fans loved it as you can tell by the screams and laughter on the video courtesy of Johanna via our Dj BVAX’s camera. Speaking of BVAX the brother holds down the DJ spot so solid in this our first official booking that we feel we will be using him a lot mor in the future for our sets. Her is the entire set. Enjoy! Read this, love this, spread this.

Add-2 – Leave A Message (music video)

June 19, 2013

Add-2 is back once again with his socially conscious music and I am happy because more music like this is needed. I mean I know it’s been a long time since the 90s when it was actually cool to be intelligent with your music but damn! Artists like 2 Chainz, Future, and Chief Keef make fans think dumbing down and sounding ignorant in ones verses is the shit to do. Fuck that! Add-2 with a song that basically reflects what he did within it’s lines…Leave A Message.

Martin $ky – It Don’t Stop (music video)

June 19, 2013

Ok first things first I must apologize for the time I have spent off blogging regularly. I am apart of a rap group called The OL’ Days and we recently opened up for Slum Village so things were crazy for a bit. Video comin’ soon! Anyway I am a fan of this guy Martin $ky. The animation on this video is simple, yet effective especially with the film being in black and white. His slow and mellow flow works well with the beats he chooses and his music probably is perfect for those of us who smoke. Check it out! Read this, love this, spread this.

The Ol’ Days – No Petro prod. King I Divine (mp3)

June 6, 2013

Chicagoans have been getting robbed at the pumps for years, but something tells us that we aren’t the only ones. Produced by the ATL native King-I-Divine, this song is for all that have felt the “pressure at the pump” and not always had enough to “fill er up.” Listen to this song and stick it to the man, but don’t forget to “STICK EM UP!”

BP, Citgo, Exxon, Hello
We Need Petro, Robbery Yolo
Even if you got a fourth in the tank, it’s not enough
If you got green in the bank, it’s not enough
Try to tell the fuckin Mayor that
It’s Not Enough, It’s Not Enough, It’s Not Enough

P.S. I am proud of our rap group for coming so far in so little time yet I am proud to say we aren’t taking any of our blessings lightly. As you can tell by the banner at the top we have the honor of opening for the legendary Slum Village rap group on June 14th at Chicago’s Reggie’s Rock Club! That’s gonna be a great night! If you are going to be in Chicago and would like to come see it live hit us directly for tickets at WE WILL SEE YOU THERE!!!
